Nationwide Express

Bobby Holcomb

Bobby Holcomb brings over 35 years of experience in the transportation, warehousing, and logistics to his role as Vice President of Business Development for Nationwide Express, Inc. Bobby joined Nationwide Express, Inc., from Averitt Express.

At Averitt Express, Bobby was responsible for local territory in both Atlanta GA, and Knoxville TN, selling regional LTL service. After two years he was promoted to national account truckload sales and managed the states of Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Michigan, and Ohio in truckload sales for Averitt Express. Bobby earned his bachelor’s degree in Marketing from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Since 1995, Bobby joined the Nationwide Express, team. At Nationwide, his responsibilities include growth in sales and profits for all three divisions: truckload service, warehousing solutions and total logistics. Using his extensive background in the industry to develop partnerships and anticipate requirements for customers has enabled him to create long term relationships between Nationwide and its customers.

Stuart Evans

Stuart Evans, Vice President of Operations, has more than 20 years of transportation and logistics experience. Stuart joined Nationwide from Western Express Inc., where he served in various operations and customer service roles to a director role responsible for load planning.

His early experience in the transportation industry began at Milan Express, Inc., serving as a management trainee prior to becoming assistant terminal manager. Stuart earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Freed-Hardeman University.

During his career, his proven track record of growing volume, establishing new operations, implementing technology change and improving service is a result of two core principles: deliver exceptional service and value by continually monitoring analytics and respond quickly to changing customer requirements.

Mark Russell

With 40+ years of experience in the trucking industry, Mark Russell has seen and adapted to many changes in the industry and brings an extensive skill set to his role as Vice President of Maintenance. From his early years learning ground-up as a journeyman mechanic to a leader focused on continuous improvement and evolving technologies, Mark stays focused on what it takes to make Nationwide and our customers successful.

Mark has been with Nationwide for 26 years but was with U.S. Express prior to that. When he joined, U.S. Express as a Director, there was a fleet of 50 units. During his tenure and promotion to Vice President, U.S. Express became U.S. Express Enterprises and grew to ~2,200 units.

With demonstrated expertise in his field and a commitment to excellence, Mark works to ensure Nationwide has the best, most reliable equipment to meet customers’ needs each day.

Tim Edelstein

With 27 years of experience in the transportation industry in numerous roles, Tim Edelstein has extensive experience to rely on as the Vice President of Safety and Recruiting. Tim is a four-year veteran of the Marine Corps, serving one active tour and 2 tours in the army reserves, including a year in Operation Iraqi Freedom as part of the Reserve.

After his service to the United States, Tim started his transportation career with Ryder as a shop technician. After six years at Ryder, Tim was the owner of a trucking and diesel repair shop in Dyersburg, TN. In 2008, Tim joined Nationwide Express as a terminal manager in Jackson, TN.

Under Tim’s leadership, Nationwide Express has received the Great West Platinum Award for Safety eleven years in a row. Lessons learned in the Marines, a drive to ensure best in class results and the perseverance to keep learning and improving have defined Tim’s career.

Jennifer Meyer

Jennifer Meyer has over 25 years of financial, human resources and operational experience to rely on as the Vice President of Finance and Human Resources. During her career, she has served as an innovative, action-oriented leader in the construction, manufacturing, and insurance industries.

Prior to joining Nationwide, Jennifer worked for Asurion, a leader in device protection and technology support. She began in 2002 when they built the Technology and Logistics Center. Through several finance positions, including working internationally in Hong Kong, to a director role responsible for the online claims portal, she was a leader that drove business results and increased customer satisfaction scores (NPS).

Jennifer believes strongly that relationships make it all work. Identifying the key metrics to monitor, leading calmly through uncertainty and coaching teams to grow are critical to ensure goals are met for Nationwide and its customers.

Nationwide Distribution Services

Steve Wade

Steve Wade brings more than 40 years of transportation and logistics experience to his role as Vice President of Warehousing for Nationwide Distribution Services. Steve joined NDS in 1997 as warehouse manager for our Loudon, TN facility.

He was introduced to the transportation industry in 1979 when he worked as a mechanic for Roadway Express. After 3 years with Roadway, Steve earned a BS in Industrial Engineering from Tennessee Technological University in 1986 while working as a mechanic for Averitt Express. Upon graduation, Steve worked in Operations Planning and as a Terminal Manager in the LTL industry until he started his career in warehousing.

With a focus on quality control, driving continuous improvement and delivering exceptional customer service, Steve has grown the Nationwide warehousing operation and is able to quickly respond to changing customer needs.

Nationwide Logistics

Clay Pelot

A 35+ year veteran of the transportation industry, Clay Pelot brings a diverse set of experiences to his role as Vice President of Nationwide Logistics. He attended The University of Tennessee and went on to graduate from The College of Charleston with a degree in Business Administration. He joined Nationwide Express in 2004 as the Director of Logistics.

Clay’s experience in both Domestic and International transportation gives him a unique perspective and the ability to deliver tailored solutions for individual customers. His previous positions with Carolina Shipping Company, Lanport, Lykes Lines, Nordana Line, United Parcel Service and Averitt Express provided the opportunity to develop relationships and networks in the air, ocean, land and rail transportation industries.

Tim Greene

With over 28 years in all facets of the Transportation, International Freight, and Trucking industries, Tim Greene, Vice President of Intermodal Drayage, has made it his mission to provide excellent on-time service for our customers. Tim’s expertise includes Trucking, Logistics, Drayage, Rail Drayage, and International Freight including Warehousing and Drayage services in Long Beach, CA, Houston, TX, Savannah, GA, Norfolk, VA, and other international ports.

Tim joined Nationwide in 2005, with 12 years of experience in Domestic LTL and Truckload services, strategically growing the Domestic Brokerage business, managing International Operations, Container Drayage, including all Canada and Mexico operations.

As a husband and father of two, Tim understands the importance of commitments and relationships, both in life and business. His commitments to Nationwide and our customers are strengthening relationships, simplifying processes, exceeding expectations, and driving results that help everyone grow.
